The Wind That Blows Through Me

Over the course of the past two years, Gabriela has focused on graphite drawings. Her process is entirely intuitive, with the images emerging through rather than from her. The works often begin with a shape or gesture, followed by another and another, until a sense of balance is achieved.

Gabriela’s drawings are composed of ‘nature-symbols,’ lyrical shading, and interactions of form that describe transcendental experience and emergence. Her practice is informed by channeling, spiritualism, dreamwork, and musical improvisation. She tunes into these practices to receive the drawings presented here.
